CALL program that dumps a bunch of records into the file with the file open under commitment control. 6. COMMIT (records are dumped en masse). 7. ENDCMTCTL. May have left something out, and this won't help if multiple jobs are updating the file, but it should work if the file is only updated by a batch program at night.
