I don't know if this will help or not.  About 1 1/2 years ago, at a prior
situation, we initially tried to implement Service Programs.  We also received
similiar error messages within 3 calls to a Service Program where the caller
would lose its "link" to the Service Program.  After months of going round-about
with IBM, they claimed that there was too much "junk" in the PAG.  We were using
Group Jobs in our menu system, sharing access paths, hundreds of pre-opened
files, using Return instead of LR, etc.  Their suggestion was to try *CALLER
NEW, which is what I would suggest to use at the caller level to see if it
helps.  At the time, we felt that this was way too expensive to implement in
production, but it might narrow down your problem.
