  • Subject: Using VB6.0 Internet Control to FTP to AS/400

Hi All

Before continuing, I have posted this question to VB.misc & AS/400.misc NG
but received no valuable hints/solutions/pointers
and I am a little pressed for time with regards this issue . . .

I have a little VB6.0 app which allows the user to select a textfile on the
 hard
drive and then FTP the file to an AS/400. The AS/400 FTP Server is running
and at the time I .execute the FTP command, I receive a "Cannot coerce
Type"
error message ( # 35760 ).

Looking at the AccessType property of the Internet Control component I can
only see 3 types :

1 = Default [Tried]
2 = Direct  [Tried]
3 = Proxy Server [Not Tried]

I am trying to connect from my workstation ( on a LAN ) to the AS/400.
Furthermore, if I copy the URL property string and paste it ,as is, into
the
address bar of Windows IExplorer 5.0, it works fine.

Does anyone have any ideas regarding this problem?

Regards
John.
