Performance Explorer (PEX) has *PROFILE mode, which does exactly this - how
much CPU was spent in different program statements.
Collection of data is standard part of OS/400, generating readable report
is part of Performance Tools LPP.

What was it Hans, Jon    SATT    or  WITT that did something like that.
(I think WITT stood for Workstation Interactive Testing Tool)

One of them would you a graph like image on a PC of the
places in your code that you spend the most time.

Was kinda neat.

Again,   I think it cost  "THOUSANDS" of dollars.
Hence,  didn't sell.

Anything left of that effort Hans??
