In short:

- create a pointer field, inz(%addr(*IN)) to point to the indicator array

- create a 100-char field, based on the pointer;

- overlay the 100-char with your own fields, at appropriate locations

like so:

     D Ptr s * inz(%addr(*in))
     D ds based(Ptr)
     D Indicators 100
     D EndOfFile 1n overlay(Indicators:90)

OK?

Hi,

Am I correct in thinking that it is possible to assign a more user friendly name
to and indicator, eg.

DOW not EndOfFile

Instead of

DOW not *IN90

I have spent some time trawling through
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/online/v4r3eng.htm
<http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/online/v4r3eng.htm> But as yet, I
can't find what I am looking for.

Please help...

Cheers
Chris
