You can write to a logical that does not include the timestamp field and the database manager will handle filling the Timestamp field for you... Only on adds. I would recommend that you make a trigger program that is attached to the before insert and before update events. This way you do not have to worry about including the code anywhere else (And it happens everytime all the time anything updates/adds a record) ______________________________________________ Eric N.
