Our biggest challenge right now is performance. We decided to move to the Microsoft Rich Edit control. Big mistake on our part--it is slow that anything I can image. If you want an example of the performance issues we're up against, check out Microsoft's WordPad app that comes with Windows 95/98. Open a large file of at least 100K bytes. If you need to, just duplicate something over and over. It takes forever. We're looking at a few options--right now it loads normal sized RPG code pretty quickly, but it slows down when you open larger files. Unlike the 16-bit version which opens a file of any size in a second or two, (I wrote that code myself from scratch) the 32-bit version is using only MS stuff for the editor presentation itself and is slow, slow slow to load a file... We're working on it though.
