Re: RPG IV and CF-spec "keep it IBM"

I'll have to agree with the RPG'ers not being versed in C and probably don't 
want to be. My company is considering going to Java, not as hard to learn as C 
but I'm no spring chicken (42) and learning another language now isn't 
something I'm looking forward to... Oh well, progress, (in whatever form), must 
go on...

Scott, I think you hit right on the point and you make my point exactly. 
You are skilled with both RPG and C.  However most RPG programmers are not
skilled with C and never will be, so when C-like standards begin popping
up in our faces we don't know what is happening.  For me at least it is
frightening.

And, no, I wouldn't flame you on this at all.  I envy you but realize my
destiny is RPG, not C.
