There are many ways to move the spool file down to EXCEL, but I don't
think you want to do that. You would get an 80 position field that
would be useless to your users. The best thing to do is to make what
should be a quick mod to the report program. Create a physical file
that contains all the fields (use same field names) written to the report
in the detail line. Add this file to your program as output and where
ever the detail line is written to the report add a line of code to write
to the new physical file. Be sure to clear this file before calling
the program. When the program is done, simply use Client Access to
transfer the file down to Excel. Using that method you will retain
the values of the fields in a usable format for your users.
