The other option would be to sign up for a time sharing service to get at an AS/400 via the internet.  Check out http://www.timeshare400.com .

IBM offers a trial version of their Code/400 production. I'm not sure what the URL is for it, but I'm sure someone else will provide it.

As an FYI, there is a free RPG III and RPG IV editor located at http://www.rpgiv.com/codestudio
This editor is a 16-bit version for Windows, but works fine under Windows 95/98/NT.
It has full prompting, help text support, syntax highlighting, symantec AutoCorrection, etc.
It does not, however do syntax checking or compiling.

hello all,
i was told that you could download an editor that would allow you to compile a pgm and let you know errors and such from a pc at home.

is there such a thing?

and if so do you know where i can download it from?

i am a student now for rpg400 and i am trying to find a way to work some of the programs from home, since computer labs are not always convenient with the hours i work.

thanks in advance,
tracey
