You mean most applications dont include a DUMP as a standard part of
their error processing! How do you fix errors in a client system?

Interesting that that's your standard.  I've used it, but not
frequently.  I
suspect that it's not terribly common in most shops, so you're unlikely
to
get a huge outpouring of support from other RPG programmers, especially
since there are so many work-arounds (logical files, SQL views, OPNQRYF
with
a format file, embedded SQL for I/O, etc.).  Of course, Hans could
probably
put it into the compiler in 5 or 10 minutes, but then they'd have to
document it.  You know how much work THAT is for IBM.
