Dan,

For my purpose, QCAPCMD worked out much better.  It wanted to duplicate the
processes of the user options in PDM with an application.  So, when the user
is setting up the option, in the command they can prompt and also enter
variables such as &F for file, etc without it erroring out.  QCMDCHK will
error out.

Kudos to Carsten for the help.

How does your suggestion of using QCAPCMD (type of processing: 8) compare to
the
one I responded with, setting up the command string in a variable and then
calling QCMDCHK using that variable?  Do you have an example of using that
technique?
