Error message

I am invoking an RPG400 program which passes parameters to an RPGIV one which 
in turn calls a RPGIV module which returns cetain values.

Occasionally this module falls over , sometimes it doesn't . I have made sure 
that all necessary parameters are  passed on each call.

The program dump informs me that the cause is a : INTERNAL FAILURE IN COMPILER 
OR SUBROUTINE.

Has anyone any idea what this could mean?
