We have users using it, it works pretty well for the ones willing to learn a
little bit about the database.  Sounds like your group of Query users fit
that description, so probably most/all of them would find Sequel fairly easy
to switch to.  Anyone frustrated with limitations in Query is almost certain
to love it.

As for downloading to Excel, it can create files in the IFS in any of the
formats below, which can then be opened directly or e-mailed by Sequel.
And, of course, it can output DB2 files that you can then download using
file transfer or ODBC/MS Query.
