Thanks, R. Bruce. The point of my command is that you do not have to
create a source member and then the source member. That process involves
        1. start SEU (or equivalent)
        2. enter the commands
        3. think of a name for the source member.
        4. run the interpreter.

There is too much memory load - you have to remember what you wanted to do
while you start your editor, and then you have to make up a member name and
remember that to run the commands.

Also, it is difficult to integrate this into PDM so you can use the PDM
substitution variables &n, &l, and so on.

With direct interpretation, you can see the commands that you will be
running immediately before you run them, and you are not creating
unnecessary source members. PDM performs variable substitution before
execution your commands.

The ability to run a sequence of commands with one press of the Enter key
was a feature of VM/CMS that I fondly remember. (Mind you, I also fondly
remember XEDIT -- in particular its ability to edit multiple files at a
time, and the macro capability.)

Hope this clarifies why I wrote the command.

Cheers -- Greg
