Silvio, Based on the message I would guess that you do not journal the file(s). If this is the case you need to journal the file or change the COMMIT keyword on the CRTSQLRPG to *NONE. In any case you should be able to determine the exact cause of the problem by looking in the joblog for the message SQL7008. It should show a reason code which will explain why you got the message. To display the SQLERM you can also append the SQLCOD to SQL and display the message description in QSQLMSG. David Morris ...But the update is not working. I also tried to run the debug an I saw that the sqlcod is with the value = 0 before the update, but after it contains -7008, I also tried to see the sqlerm but it appears strange things. I tested an equivalent update in the command line of the STRSQL and it works, so what can be wrong ?
