Well, I learned something new today.
MS has removed the ability to read / burn CDs and DVDs from Windows 10. If
you upgrade from Windows 7 that ability stays, but a clean install it's not
there. We got our first 2 clean installs recently to that's how I found
that out.
We don't use DVDs much, basically once a month to burn PDF copies of all
the months invoices (don't use USB because they can be erased).
The PC store said use VLC media player to listen to audio. Use CDBurnerXP
to burn audio. Neither does what we want. The PC store says the MS stuff
is no longer available.
Before I have to install a smorgasbord of apps to get what we used to have
right in Windows, is what used to be in Windows for free available? At a
price?
And MS wonders why people get pi$$ed at them.
Thanks.
