Can you describe the use case more ?

-Mobile labs
-Going camping.
-Gaming club where you need to share lots of data
-Sharing movie collections

Most of the time wouldn't a single multi-terabyte USB 3.0 drive have a enough throughput ?

There are also WiFi hubs that support USB devices as well as gigabit access and wifi of course.
