Win8 ships with IE10. IE10 does have compatibility mode so IE9 apps stand
a good chance of working fine. If not, and you're running Win8Pro, you do
have the option of running a VM with Win7 and running IEold in that.

Office: I've used 2010& 2013. MS says 2007 works as well:
