Hi Peter,

Ok and thanks. You're not using LAN and prefer an external disk with
USB (or such) and switch the drive between your PC's.

Warning then: make sure your external disk can be recognized if recovery
is needed - or you're toast !!!

Regards,
Leif

Hi Leif:

When I am making reference to an "external harddrive" is to the physical
(portable) device that you attach to the PC or laptop via USB port or
other means.

I have experienced Norton Ghost and yes, it is good. I was also looking
for free software solutions for this. Like you and Sam mentioned, it is a
good idea to have two partitions.

I will look into Macrium Reflect and its features and probably take
advantage of the trial period; however, is there any good / recommended
piece of software that any of you have tried and experienced?

Regards,

PETER VIDAL
