Apple does charge a premium. And their system is pretty much closed, as
least in terms of hardware and OS. And their market share is less than their
competitors.

Hmm...seems like there's another system with these characteristics...can't
think of it...

front of the TV just fine with my laptop. I do love my 5th gen iPod for

like it could be more versatile than a Kindle ...but I don't read e-books.

Having said all of that, I wouldn't mind having one as a toy if I could
get it for netbook prices but then Apple does have a habit of charging a
premium for its products.
