You've got a 35$ printer that you want to attach to a 35$ print server?
The reviews don't sound so good though. And there's some question thatthe
hp deskjet series is even compatible.
Well, what do you want to print? These are host-based printers, they
usually don't work well with print servers, if they work at all. You
surely won't be able to print to them using HPT, if that's your goal.
integrated network card. These are pretty cheap today (though notI have never heard the term 'host-based printer' before. I had to look it
35$). If a printer can do PCL5/6 and PS, they're not host-based.
If you want to use it with your IBM i, check the "support for various
ascii printers" page (google for the phrase, the URL changes all the
time).
