But a few sites don't work with Chrome. So I tried Firefox. Is it better

Wow. I use Firefox constantly -- I probably use it more than 16 hours a day. I can't even remember the last time it crashed. Do you really have a lot of problems with it crashing???
I use FF round the clock, usually with five to ten instances open, most instances with multiple tabs. I use the Session Manager add-on and I love it. I will say that it does crash on occasion - but I'm talking about something like once every 30-60 days, maybe longer. I have Internet Explorer on reserve as most of us FF users do; for the sites that just won't work otherwise. Since I rarely use it, I can't say how stable it is nowadays, but I know it crashed more frequently than once a month.
