Folks:

Anyone know of software (free preferably) that can convert a series of
still images files into a movie?

I've got a webcam setup and it captures a series of still graphics ...
but I would like to convert those graphics into a movie.

Actually, if I could convert the JPG's into an animated GIF that would
be ok too (I think).

You can do all that with ImageMagick -
http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php - available for both
Linux, Windows & Mac OS. On my Ubuntu box I can do

$ convert image*.gif -adjoin animated_image.gif

to convert a bunch of stills to the one animated image. convert will
handle conversion from jpg (and pretty much any other format) too.

Regards, Martin
