Folks,

I installed Ubuntu on a Toshiba laptop. I'm very impressed with it.

Now I'd like to get iSeries Access working. I found an IBM technote that indicated a number of prerequisites for Ubuntu with instructions for installing:

msttcorefonts
libmotif3
libxaw6
unixODBC

and converting the iSeries Access .rpm package to a .deb package and installing it to Ubuntu, which worked fine. But I get an error when trying to run setup5250 which seems to be saying that I'm missing "libstdc++.so.5" which I think is a standard C library.

Other IBM instalation notes indicate that "glibc" is a prerequisite. I think I'm pretty close to getting this working. Am I at the final step?

Nathan.
