Yeah, sorry about missing that detail. I had a d'oh moment after I upgraded
the driver and rebooted and saw the bootup "snow" well before Windows
started loading. But I tend to agree with your assessment that it's the
hardware. You should see the screen at bootup; it reminds me of the Matrix
movies, with the "bits" going up and down in columns. There's an "Access
IBM" button that is used to enter the BIOS, but I can't make out squat once
I get there.
Given my reply earlier this morning, does this change your thoughts? I
would expect the problem would get worse the longer the PC is on, not
better.
