I'm not a fan of hosting data not created by a PC-based program on the
400. That's what PC's and servers do much better/quicker
Huh? OK, if you mean file-system documents like .doc and .xls I'll agree
completely, let the DB servers be DB servers and the file servers be
file servers. But I think you _are_ talking about rows and columns, so I
would think you would want it on the iSeries. You have an
industrial-strength database, and more importantly, you'd know that the
data was being backed-up, and you know how to restore it. JMTCW.
