So run Linux. Or BSD. Or some other free operating system that handles
multitasking properly.
Or buy a Mac.

You may not be able to run OS/2, but nothing is forcing you to run
Windows.


Except that one of the other hats I wear is development of PC based sales
automation software which integrates with a client's i5, and since the sales
reps use Windows then that is where we deploy it. The same client has me
use a private instant messaging network which AFAIK only has a Windows
client available. There are also numerous applications I use which do not
have Linux versions.

I have wondered if I'd be better off learning about VMWare and letting WinXP
and Vista run as
virtual clients though.
