Have a Windows 2000 PC fully patched running Internet Explorer 6 and all

restart it. I clicked on the see failing module and it said it was on
shell32.dll. Searching has not provided anything that seems to work.

My standard actions for this kind of thing:

1. Clear cache
2. Run chkdsk
3. Run diagnostics on hard drive
4. Run diagnostics on memory
5. Reformat hard drive and install Linux distro of choice.
