I'm using DK Professional at home on my W2K PC. The seamless/background
work is as advertised; you can easily set it & forget it. Mine runs a
full defrag every three days.
Boot times are definitely improved but it's hard to say that general
responsiveness is noticeably that much better. Some things seem
snappier but then I haven't pulled out a stopwatch to time it.
DK Pro does stuff that the Windows defragger doesn't do, and it's not
that expensive, so I keep it. I'd like the I-FAAST feature but the
price bump to Pro Premier is a little hard to justify. Still, I'm
considering moving my Pro license to my wife's PC (no 3rd party
defragger) and putting Pro Premier on mine to see if I-FAAST is truly
worthwhile.
