New mobo came with a drivers CDrom. Fourth, definitely use the drive cable that came with the new
motherboard. In general older cables + newer mobos is a recipe for quirky intermittent problems.
Yeah, that should probably be the first thing I do. I had already used the one cable they included for the DVD drives. I think I have a few unused ones in the basement. Thanks for your help John! - Dan
