Where to begin with this one...

Need a way to perform regression testing on forms generated by packaged
software (DOC1).  The software generates postscript files.  It is my
understanding that two postscript files using the same input data could
differ in byte-by-byte content, yet still create identical printed output.
Our current thinking is to convert the postscript files to jpeg files, and
somehow do a bit-by-bit comparison at that level.

Anyone have experience with this type of testing?
