...the 'test' button on the GFCI outlet in the bathroom.


Or better yet, when you realize that the GFCI outlet in the bathroom is
wired backward, such that hitting the "test" button kills the downstream
loads (ceiling lights) but not the outlet itself. As was the case in our
house. <G>
