SpeakEasy (http://www.speakeasy.net/) is/was one of them that provided
everything you needed to split the bill and everything. Heck, IIRC they
billed the "customers" for you so you didn't have to do all the work.

Not necessarily.  Depends on the provider ... some allow you to share
access.  Some even provide the capability to share the cost.
