I agree - the UI in Notes is really strange - but that makes Lotus and IBM great bedfellows, as both often seem to ignore the rest of the world. I mean, these days, what other application does not let you click in a list, then hold down control or shift and click to select other items? Not Notes? No sirree - have to drag alongside - yuk! And pasting in text - have to go to the Edit menu and pick a special way NOT to have it over-format the text - probably a setting but again Yuk! Pasting text should not be a "special" thing, IMO.
