Subject: [PCTECH] Text Editor

Our Payroll department creates fixed length files on our IFS. On occasion,
they will need to make a change in a certain column of a certain record.
Since they have no green screen access (P/R software is GUI), they cannot
use WRKLNK, EDTF, etc. on the iSeries and Wordpad/Notepad does not have a
column indicator that they can use to determine the column that the cursor
is in. Can anyone recommend a PC Text Editor which has a column indicator
(preferably freeware)?

Thanks,
Steve
