David, My linksys has been rock solid for a few years now. My dad's netgear > hasn't given him much trouble either. I have had a couple of Linksys units fail, one Netgear have one port of the switch fail, and I am currently using a dual WAN netgear which has occassional lockups. But it does better than the Zycel dual WAN router which it replaced. So I just put the netgear router into a remote control power switch and wrote a small watchdog program to test my internet connections and when the netgear hangs, the power is automatically cycled to restore service again. I have both cable and DSL so that I still have connectivity if just one ISP goes offline, but using a dual WAN router means I can have some load balancing occuring when both are working (which is most of the time). I haven't found a dual WAN router which I really like yet though. :( The router does have QoS and protocol binding so I could force all VoIP traffic to a specific WAN if I put one behind the router though. How well does the multi-ring feature work for you? The ability to answer on either an office or cell phone would be kinda neat. Doug
