Sounds like a virus. -----Original Message----- From: "Chuck Lewis"<chuck.lewis@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: 11/18/05 11:59:39 AM To: "'PC Technical Discussion for iSeries Users'"<pctech@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [PCTECH] Problem with Windows XP halting at startup... Hi Folks, Have a friend that has a Windows XP that has a problem. When he turns it on he gets: We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this. He as the Safe mode choice etc. but can select NOTHING. His keyboard has the Num Lock light on but any attempt to move through the choices displayed fails. Enter doesn't work either. He has checked and the keyboard is plugged in good (and that is indicated by the light being on) but I thought I'd bring another keyboard by and see if that gets us going. Anyone seen anything like this ? Thanks !
