I've been saving libraries to savf's, then using the NFS file system to
mount a drive on a Linux box,  then running CPYTOSTMF to copy them to
that box.  You would need NFS server for XP which is part of the Windows
Resource Kit.

I've been running it for the last few weeks without any problems,  might
be worth exploring if there isn't a resolution to the ftp problem.
