What about LTO?  Cybernetics has an iSAN product that would be a single
backup solution for the AS/400 and the Windows network.

Native tape drive capacity of 400 GB and 80 MB/s.

Not sure how it would separate the 400 backup from the server backup...

I'd highly recommend an AIT-3 or AIT-4.  AIT-3 will go to 100/260GB, 
AIT-4 will go to 200/520GB.  Downside is the cost of the cartridges when

compared to the DDS4. 

DAT72 would be a shorter term solution with a capacity of 36/72 GB.
