Last Wen (8/17) all of sudden file copy speed went from seconds to 10s of minutes.

All machines are on same subnet. No network equiptment changes.
Testing showed:

From and to win98 is at normal speed. From and to winxp is normal.

Between win 98 and win xp is slow using hubs except for two xp machines.
Between win 98 and win xp using crossover is normal.

Switching ports on hub did not change speed.

Switching hubs did not change speed.

Traffic analyzer does not show collisions, or retransmittions.

Web search showed discussion in 2003 about problem but, did not have any fixes.

TIA

Jim
