Re: Getting rid of Excel macro buttons

In case anybody is interested I figured out my own problem.  I had to open
the control toolbar, add a button, and once that new button was on the
spreadsheet it would let me right-click the previous buttons and "cut" them
off.  For some reason it wouldn't let me do that with the existing buttons
until I added a new one.  At any rate, they are gone which is what we
wanted.

One of our users has an Excel spreadsheet that she inherited from someone
else who no longer works here.  It has "sort" and "roll" buttons that are
supposed to run macros but they don't work.  The macros are fine but the
buttons don't work and she would like to get rid of them.  An alternative
might be to fix them so that they run the macros.  These buttons are not on
the tool bar but down in the cells.

Can anybody suggest where I should look?  Thanks.

We are (still) on Office 97.
