I think the whole point of the exercise is that finding the answer to the question of how it'll make money for you will determine the success or failure of every aspect of your project. From experience I might throw out this tidbit that someone passed on to me a while ago. Your real goal, at least initially, is r & d. You want flexibility, fun, and open minds. Lots of different ideas, see what people like, don't like, what works, what doesn't. Maybe a contest or two, allow employees and customers to win a few prizes? But make it fun and make it research. Along the way a few keepers may crop up. If not, you did the exercise, everyone is happy, and you can drop it without breaking promises. --------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.martinvt.com --------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: PC Technical Discussion for iSeries Users Date: 02/09/05 15:51:32 To: 'PC Technical Discussion for iSeries Users' Subject: RE: [PCTECH] Web site time required > >We're not sure yet whether it will make us any money. > > Um, then why are you doing it? First you 'chide' me with a <g> that we have no website at all, then question why we want one. I already know that if it doesn't directly or indirectly add to the bottom line, it's a waste. We've batted it around for years here. It's a gut feel that the time has come. -- Jeff Crosby Dilgard Frozen Foods, Inc. P.O. Box 13369 Ft.
