I found this guy's Web site a couple of years ago while working on
something else, and he is impressive.
The think I was describing is something else, and I'll get it one of
these days, I think. It even might be related to another problem I'm
having. That's another thread I'll post one of these days, maybe next
week, because it might take some doing.
(Hint: McAfee Internet chat support dude was totally useless. Worse than
useless. Worse than getting help from a *rock*, because I wouldn't have
wasted time with a rock.)

which offers tips on shutting down unneeded services that eat up CPU. I tried
it, and I noticed a definite improvement. I recommend this guy -- the name is a
little strange, but I've been happy so far.
