All in all, even though I don't do any of this stuff from my house (I'm so jealous Ken!), I am secure in my geekhood...

All it takes is money, and being single. (And the two are not unrelated. [And the fact that I've never married is probably not totally unrelated to my geekhood either.])

I can afford to pay for a commercial account with a static IP address and do it up right. (Actually a SOHO cable modem account with 3000/256 turned out to be quite a bit cheaper than I was expecting.)
