I know XP, and I believe 2000, have an option when you boot from the install
CD to repair an installation. The first thing after that is text on the
bottom to press F6 to install 3rd party Storage Drivers.

There is a CD that came with the motherboard that I presume contains
drivers. I've never tried to repair an installation, how would that be
done? Do I just load the original CD and try to boot from it or do I boot
to safe mode and work from there?

I don't know the answer to this one. I followed the installation
instructions and set the BIOS accordingly, optimized settings option I
think.

I should remember but I can't at the moment, what is LBA?

Rick
