Too many hardware changes will result in Windows asking (requiring) you to re-register, not a STOP Kernel Panic Error. Rick, are there device drivers for the drive controller on the motherboard? You may have to do a repair of the install and press F6 to install drivers. Also, is the MB BIOS set to LBA or is it trying to map the drive. If the drive geometry is all messed up due to incorrect translation this can lead to the same error. -Walden ------------ Walden H Leverich III President & CEO Tech Software (516) 627-3800 x11 (208) 692-3308 eFax WaldenL@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.TechSoftInc.com Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur. I am assuming this is a 2K/XP OS? If it is XP, I would assume ti is freakign out because too many hardware changes and it thinks you are running illegal software. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Gibbs" <dgibbs@xxxxxxx> To: "PC Technical Discussion for iSeries Users" <pctech@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, February 09, 2004 11:15 AM Subject: RE: [PCTECH] STOP: 0x0000007B Inaccessible Boot Device > > Here is the background: > > This weekend I removed the system board from my PC and > > replaced it with another board/processor combination, memory > > and video card. > > It's been my experience that Windows does not tolerate this action > lightly. > > I have *NEVER* had it work correctly in the long run.
