Try a search for LapLink. There are clones that I think are free, and I think the cable is a typical serial cable with a null modem. LapLink was a package that let you attach a cable to the serial ports of two computers (your laptop and desk PC for instance) and you'd run LapLink on one machine and it would auto-install on the other machine and you could drag & drop files from one to the other. In a pinch you could make up a serial cable with some twisted pair and a couple of DB9 connectors. --buck
