Since XP SP2 is only in it's earliest Beta form, I would avoid it and go
with SP1. Just be sure to hit Windows Update afterwards and get all of
the Critical Updates. And browse the Recommended Updates for anything
else you might want.

Subject: [PCTECH] Windows XP Professional and Service Packs Required

Hi list. I am about to do a good backup of my data, format my harddrive
and install my new MS Win/XP Professional (full version). I currently
have Win/2000 SP3. My question is, which service pack will be the one
recommended by you that I can apply to it? I do now want to have the
Win/2000 SP4 experience again...

Advices are greatly appreciated.

TIA
