none of the 3.x.x releases will be supported under Win XP.


If you haven't located the service pack for the release you installed,
you can find it here:

http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/access/sphist.htm

Perhaps that will help, although you are working with a product designed
for Microsoft operating systems a few generations back (Win95 and NT).
If you are at 3.1.2, the last fix pack for that release was available in
January of 1999.
